Nove Mesto
The National Theatre in Prague is the country's principal opera and drama house, on the Vltava embankment in Nove Mesto. Funded by public subscription, it opened in 1881, burned within weeks, and reopened rebuilt in 1883.

National Museum
Nove Mesto
The National Museum stands at the head of Wenceslas Square in Prague, in a neo-Renaissance building of 1891 by Josef Schulz. It reopened in 2018 after a seven-year reconstruction and holds natural history and historical collections.
