Klementinum
The Klementinum is a large former Jesuit college complex in Prague's Old Town, now holding the National Library of the Czech Republic, the Baroque Library Hall of 1722 and an astronomical tower.
Why it matters
Continuous meteorological readings have been taken from the astronomical tower since 1775, which makes it one of the longest unbroken climate records anywhere in Europe.
