Old Town Hall
The Old Town Hall on Prague's Old Town Square has served the town since 1338 and carries the astronomical clock installed in 1410. Its east wing was destroyed in May 1945 and never rebuilt.
Also known as Staromestska radnice.
Why it matters
The missing east wing is the most informative thing about the building: the gap on the square is where the neo-Gothic wing burned in the last days of the war, and the decision not to rebuild it has never been reversed.
